Bwmurph (Bernie) works and lives very close to me it turns out so yesterday on his way home from work he stopped by my house to drop off a can of Alumi Blast paint and some exhaust manifold dressing.
Thanks Bernie!! It was great meeting you and getting to see your BEAUTIFUL '59 vette! :beer
Bernie also offered to come back to the house and help me wrench on my car in the future. After I take the intake, valve covers, and exhaust manifolds off to clean them up I very may may take him up on that offer when it's time to put everything back on the car as I want to make sure it's done correctly with no leaks, especially on the intake manifold.
Thanks again for stopping by yesterday Bernie and I hope you didn't get too wet in the rain driving home with the top down on the '59.

BTW, next time you come over you better not bring the '59 as both Linda and I decided it would look way to good sitting in the garage next to our '65 and we may not let you take her home with you again......... ;LOL Linda was drooling over your car as much as I was.

Barry,

No problem; glad to stop by. Didn't get too wet oin the way home; as a matter of fact it was raining harder in the Pike Creek area than anywhere else. By the time I got the car home it was pretty much dry as a bone in Newark and by the time I got back to Avondale it was dry up there !!

Oh well, not the first time the "Hot Rod" has been wet and likely won't be the last.

Let me know when you want to pull the manifolds and I'll see if I can't help out.

Later,

Bernie O.

thanks Bernie, I very well may take you up on that. As I mentioned to you yesterday, my single biggest concern when I take everything off is the exhaust manifolds....... I've seen too many threads on here and CF about people breaking those frozen bolts off and I don't need that kind of problem.
I'm just hoping that with the motor having been rebuilt just a couple years ago they won't give me too much of a problem
