Well, after hearing about how good that one c4 steering wheel recovery guy on ebay is (on the OTHER forum, no less), I sent the dude a money order and waited to receive a pristine, recovered steering wheel. This is the same guy who will "rent" the steering wheel puller tool for $10, which I also ordered.
So I got the steering wheel awhile back and only opened it now. It looks pretty good except for the inside corners, which look unfinished; it's the part right next to the horn cap, where the leather folds over itself. It looks like it was done by a small child, there are gaps in the leather that are not on the stock wheel. If I paid for a steering wheel recovered by a thirteen-year-old girl, I got my money's worth.
The steering wheel puller he "rented" me is a joke. The point is broken off, rendering it useless. It keeps slipping off the shaft. The bozo actually put this broken tool into the box, with every expectation that I would swallow the $10 charge for a non-working tool.
You just can't get quality these days. All in all I'm disappointed that someone with such a high ebay rating gives such mediocre service. I would advise people to stay away from him
