I wasn't sure how appropiate this was but after getting LOTS and LOTS of PM's and emails from this and the "other" forum site asking me about the shop that is working on Baby, I figure I would just give the information on the shop and give him a good 'plug".
the shop is a small place in Newport, Delaware. It's about halfway between Wilmington and Newark. The shop is called Joe's Garage. The owner's name is Joe Stephano and his number is 302-993-0885.
One of the best things (at least to me) is that he has 30 years experience working on Vettes and only works on early Vettes - C1's, C2's, and early C3's and he is the only one at the shop. With no employees other than himself he is the only one working on the cars so you know the quality is the same top-notch work throughout the job. No worries about some young kid just learning bodywork and painting working on the car that Joe has to keep an eye on or worries that something will be done wrong. Joe is a true perfectionist when it comes to these cars. Because he is by himself, don't expect to get your car back quickly (Baby will end up being there about 7 - 7 1/2 months before she is back home), but the work he does makes the wait well worthwhile. He has spent 3 days or so on other jobs just making sure the paint is the exact perfect shade before he sprays the car. He just really makes sure the cars he is working on come out as good as they possibly can and the other cars I've seen him do look incredible.
so, for everyone that asked me about where Baby is being worked on there is the information.
