Hi everybody!

First, let me tell you that for the last 2 weeks or so I have (with great difficulty) refrained from posting this. I wanted to make sure that what I'm about to tell you is 100% accurate. In a moment, you will understand and appreciate my hesitance to post this information. Hopefully, many of you have read my posts & know that I am credible.

For many years we have been taunted with rumors concerning the possibility that original Corvette documentation might exist in some undisclosed and long forgotten warehouse. We have even heard rumors that PHS might have access to these records. Until this very day at exactly 3:28pm the acquisition of any orginal document for our St. Louis Corvette seemed so remote, I dared not hope I'd ever see anything in my lifetime.

I am very pleased to tell you that I can now say with 100% certainty that the original dealer invoice for your Corvette is available! In fact, the mailman delivered mine a few minutes ago and I am looking at it right now. Also, I would be remiss if I failed to give a huge thanks to a very knowledgable Corvette expert, rare parts source and one of the nicest people you could ever meet for turning me on to this informaton. Thank you LT1GEORGE!!!

I do want to ask one thing of you before I give you the information. Please, Please, Please promise me you will fill out the customer service form that comes with your dealer invoice and return it promptly. There is plenty of room to write some additional information on the front and back of the form as well. It is extremely important that we let GM know how much we value this service and would like to see it continue and be built upon (this is a $ looser for them). Also, please say some kind words about Peggy Vezina. She is the person who will be doing this research for you. It's a one woman operation and she is working very hard on our behalf.

Now for what you have been waiting for....................................

For an original copy of your Corvette dealer invoice or ANY other GM car or truck 1977 to present, send an email to one of the following email addresses. I sent mine directly to Peggy. You MUST have the correct VIN (please triple check it before requesting the information) and provide the year, make and model of your vehicle as well as your full address. Oh, one last thing............it's free!

GMMA.research@gm.com OR peggy.vezina@gm.com

For those who have a Corvette older than 1977 you may want to call GM to see if your dealer invoice is available. Here's the # 1-800-851-8984.

Well... I sent Peggy an e-mail with my year, make, and VIN. I can see why you didn't post something until you were sure... you could really get flamed for this one. It's something that most of us folks had hoped GM would 'find'.

I hope this really works. Thanks Platato! :beer

I'll let everyone know what happens next.

I emailed GM about my 73. Who knows what might come out of it.

Thanks! A real milestone! I mean that sincerely!

Thanks Platato...I just stored mine last sat. about 20 miles away & left the ownership in the glovebox, now I'll have to go dig it out & get this sent away!

Platato: Thanks so much for providing the email, Peggy just wrote me back saying that obviously she is getting tons of email but will try and work through this. But it might take up to 6 weeks for the papers to arrive. I'll send her my home adress and hope for the best. Thanks again. I'll let her know how much we appreciate the service and work..

Hi GEC,

If your car is an original Canadian car (as in sold new through a Canadian Chevrolet Dealer) then these folks will be able to give you all the info on your car.

http://gmcanada.com/english/maintenance/parts/parts_vint.html

I have contacted these fine folks at GM Canada in the past and it is a super service. They will provide a list of all the options on your car and the colour combo along with the name of the original selling dealer. The options can only be provided for Corvettes 1967 and newer. Prior to that the shipping documents that have all been recorded on microfiche, only had the colours / key codes / dealer ID and date of entry into Canada.

Take care,
Brian

factory GM invoice St Loius

John, Glad you got your GM factory St Louis invoice for your 77 Corvette. It's worth the wait and for free, what more could you ask for. I know alot of people have blown the thread off as" No way can I get tthe factory invoice for my Corvette "or "I heard that one before" some people just don't believe, so they don't even want to try. This is the real deal. What's that old saying about leading the horse to water.....So guys(everyone with a 77 and up (2004's included) send in for your GM factory invoice before GM shuts it down. There are alot of high ups that don't what this information in your hands. Hope to hear about more of you getting your original invoice for your Corvettes. Happy New Year everybody. Save the Wave.>George

Has anyone got any info on if they are providing these for 76 and older?

I've been tempted to e-mail the info on my 76, but have not yet. I was waiting to see if anyone else had any luck. Maybe I should just go ahead and do it. I will work on that tomorrow. We'll see what happens.
