Think I found clutch problem!!

Okay, tell me if you agree...

I took off the bell housing, unbolted the pressure plate and clutch disc. Well, it turns out that a clutch disc spring is off and floating at the bottom of the assembly.

So I'm guess this is the culprit to my clutch problem?

Woohoo!! So glad I found it. I had this bad feeling in my stomach that I would get it all apart and everything would be fine. But, this isn't fine. Sheesh!!

So it was wedged between your clutch plate and the pressure plate and that is why it wouldn't dis-engage.
Sand those bellhousing pins down a little to remove the corrosion, that will allow it to slip back on nice and easy.

Some manufacturers do recommend a break in period. Read the instructions that come with it.

I usually go easy on a new clutch for 50-100 miles before I hammer it; gets the fuzzies and sharp edges off the friction material and conditions the flywheel surface. Check your new clutch instructions to see if they have recommendations.
