I am often asked for advice on collector car purchases and it seems the most incorrectly used term in restore,restored.

Some folks think if they just repaint every thing with a shinny new coat its magicly restored to a like new condtion.I call these cars old ladies in new dress's.Once you get a peek under the dress (well you get the idea).

PS last year I looked at a mustang that was touted as being a frame off restoration.

Anybody who knows cars Knows you cant remove the frame from a mustang its a uni body structure.
