Anyone got any tips or tricks to getting the seats out of a 1960 Corvette? I haven't tried yet, but thought that this weekend might be a good time to attack it....any pictures would also help...let me know....thanks!

On my 61 it was very easy to remove the seats with frame and tracks attached. I'm going from memory so you may be in trouble. :) Slide the seats back as far as they will go. For each seat there is a bolt at the front corners on the metal track. Just remove these 2 bolts slide the entire seat assembly forward and the seat should come out. There is a back plate that the track slides into but you don't have to remove the plate unless you have a reason to. WD 40 the night before may be a big help. The nuts and nut plates can get very rusty. Hope this helps. I don't know if 58-60 are the same but I think so.

Just to add to what Gary said, the bolt boss's on the bottom of the car if they are covered in rust you should put a wire wheel to it to clean as much rust as possible off the bolts going thru the boss prior to trying to loosen them,

If the car is going for paint soon use caution with the WD40 if you get it into the glass of the car when you go to repaint it will cause fish eyeing

I got my seat frame and cushion from Wise Guy seats......but my fiances mother past away last night.....we are headed out to western Mass on Sunday....so maybe next weekend....life is short.....enjoy it while you can....when I get going on the seat, I will post some pictures on the increased clearance between the 14" wheel and the new seat.....take care.....
