Why does the drivers side rear tire and wheel stick out farther than the passeng r side on my 87 corvette

Could be many reasons, worn out suspension parts, wrong size wheel, damage to the rear. get it up on a lift and check it out. Have you ever had a 4 wheel aliment done?

Does your '87 have different width wheels front and rear? Some C4's do. The fronts are frequently narrower than the rears. The wheel widths are marked on the inside. Could you possibly have a narrower front wheel on the rear?
