If a tire is taken off and a small plug is put in a little hole does the sensor have to be recalibrated? That happened today and the air matched the repairer's and my tire gauge all matched. Several hours later it still held. Guess I was lucky. Any comments?

Tire Sensor

When do you have them re-calibrated?

I wouldn't think that the tire sensor wouldn't have to be recalibrated. The sensors read the inside pressure of the tire, patched or not. As long as the seal holds, you should be fine.

No calibration and as long as it goes back in the same wheel you're ok The sensor position is trained in conjunction with the onboard receiver unit.........
