HELP!! Tire shop knocked my L/F sensor off but we re-attached and hoped?? I have some questions:

1. If the wheels get mixed up and end up in different place will sensors still read?

2. Since they are color coded for the wheel does that mean the wheel has to be in the same spot?

3. Tires are rotating correctly but are sensors rotation sensitive??

Thanks for any help,

Gene in Fl.:confused

scan0001.jpgThe scan shows the location of the sensors when installed at the factory, They are corner specific in order to isolate a fault when checking for trouble codes & being able to ascertain the location of the sick sensor. The scan is from a 95 FSM.

Each wheel had a label, IIRC, #1 for left front, #2 for left rear & the same for the right side. Labels are probably long gone after all these years.

The sensors are rotatable as my ZO7 has the same size tires all the way round. Cars with the bigger tires in the rear don't have this option.

Some sensors are year specific.

That's all I can remember right now.
