What is the biggest size rear tires that can be put on,I have 225/ 70 x15.
Would a 75 be taller tire?

I've got 255 60R15s on the back. I wouldn't go much bigger than that.

I also don't recommend anything bigger than 235 60R15s on the front. You'll get rubbing. . .

I think the 225 70s were stock or close to it. I'd stay away from anything taller unless you've got a good reason for it.

I just put 235 60R 15 BF radial TAs all the way around, looks great but if you like the rears being a little beefier, go w/ Erics recommendation.
TAs look awsome on C3s..

The reason I thought about going taller is that there is an added leaf spring which brings the car a little higher, so is the 70 higher than the 60.

Yes, a 70 is a taller tire than a 60.

If you've already made the car a bit taller with the spring, why go taller still with the tires? Or am I missing something?

I am looking to fill wheelwall space with the taller tire.

How would it go if I put 60s in front and 70s in back?

Also do you know where to buy tires online at reasonable price?

It would work, but to me it would look a little odd. But that's more a matter of taste.

That's not to say that you wouldn't alter the handling characteristics a little bit but somehow I doubt you're autocrossing this car anyway. ;)

I always go to Discount Tire/America's Tire company. They don't have an online arm to the best of my knowledge.
