Hi All,

My Uncle has a 1960 Corvette. It is in need of new tires. Finding the original size tires seems to be very difficult (and when I find them - very expensive!).

I know he has stated that one size (cant remember what they were) actually rubbed on the inner front wheel well when he turned!

Was wondering what size tires you are running on your 1960?

Sry, after posting I realize I may have put this in the wrong thread!

Thanks!

Question - intent to DRIVE the car and looking for a modern-day sized tire for comfortable ride? Or is intent to have car judged and thus you want a "comparable 1960-sized bias tire"?

if looking for a radial, then a 205/75R15 of almost any manufacturer will be fine - personally, I run Michellin Pilot radials on my 1963; I also have Coker reproduction Firestones of 6.70X15 for NCRS judging - which would be same size for the 1960

Strickly driving - no intent to show the car. The car will be mine eventually, I too have no desire to show - other than at a local car rally or something.

The car is in great shape - just did a frame-off, but everything else is original - paint, engine, trans, differential etc. - well except for the insert which he painted.

Thanks for the info on tire size, gonna call him now and pass along what you provided.

Here is a pic of the 1960 Vette
