I am looking to buy BFG radials T/A 'S, but the site with the cheapest price has the tire listed as BFG radials T/A E4? What is the E4 stand for. They don't show part#, which I know is 58541, and discontinued older production run part#67244.Anyone with info greatly appreciated, thanks.

This is a product approval rating system in Europe denoting the country in which the product was registered. E4 is the Netherlands. E1 is Germany, E2 is France, E3 is Italy etc.

So is it acceptable, or should I just get tires without the E4 code on them. Also anyone running 225/70/15 BFG T/A's on front, and 235/70/15 on rear. Hows that combo work out?

Why not buy locally? I would think there would be plenty of tire outlets in the Rochester, NY area? Why fool with on line sites?

Tire discount site had a rebate, maybe I'll just get them from tire rack. How about 235/70/15 in the rears?

Discount and rebate may not cover the shipping costs. Once you get them, you'll be paying someone to mount and balance them. I ran 235s on the rear of my 68 without problems.

Yeah your probably right, though they did offer free shipping, but all in all pretty close. You mention you ran 235/70/15 on rear , no problem with height or width? What did you run on front, I have 225/70/15.

225/70 R15 front and back, they seem to fill the wheelwells nicely, maybe not as wide as 235's but I like them

Looks good Roy, my 72 sits up a little bit more in back , that why I wanted to go with 235/70/15's in the back (28 dia 9.5 wide)and stay with my 225/70/15 in front.

6880 Mike, any pics of your car from back and sides to see how it looks would be greatly appreciated.

6880 Mike, 225 all around, what happen to the 235"s you ran in the back?
