Beautiful sunny day beside the St. Lawrence River on the Canadian side. One of my favourite shows of the year.

The usual.

They age so gracefully.

And a real bonus! I met a CAC member from Northern New York. This is his absolutely stunning 1967 427/435.

Safely home and time for a few cold ones and a BBQ.

Barry,
Perhaps I can slip this C3 in before Bob catches me....I've had my eye on the 1969 350/350 for several years at local shows. It is gorgeous but not for sale. Unfortunately I believe it is trailered, not driven.

You've got enough C1 & C2 content, it'd be hard for 67 to complain. Besides, rumour says he's not paying attention... :D

Paul
that's a gorgeous car. I'd love to add a '69 vert alongside Baby in the garage myself at some point.
Lets see.....'69 Vert, sidepeipes, Steel Cities Grey w/ black interior and A/C.
350/350 woyld most likely be my first choice of motor also although I wouldn't complain about a BB either :D

Great pics, looks like it was a great day. Some real beauties there. Thanks for posting the photos.

Studiog,
I enjoy these events. That was about a 150 mile jaunt today. We had about 15-18 of our Club cars there, of all generations. In my initial pic you can see four of our C2s in a row. It's heartening to see some people going "back" in time although it can be a struggle at times re mechanical breakdown. I'm always waiting for...something...as I cruise at 70mph. In fact today my former 1979 sprung an upper rad hose leak (pinhole) where hose meets fan shroud. Many miles of chafing I guess. The usual nice green puddle. Not serious and the Bubbas amongst us always carry duct tape for such events. Just taped the hose up, released pressure on the rad cap for further operation, and got on with the day. It continued to run at 190F without further leaking and the day was saved.

But sometimes it is tempting to go modern with temp control and all that good stuff. But for some reason I continue to sweat it out in a non-A/C C2 coupe. A modern Corvette convertible with the top up and the A/C on is a contradiction in objectives.

Paul,

I agree, it was a great show, and I was glad to meet you and your family. I had a great time meeting alot of nice people at the event.

And it appears the weather man was wrong, still no rain, so who won?

Paul,

I see the back end of a C2, so you're good. ;LOL

Tom,
It was a delight to meet with you finally after all those posts over time in what can be such an impersonal medium. I took the liberty of posting a pic of your 1967 but with anonymity (sp?) as it is such a precious car. I hope you do not mind.

Thunderstorms were forecast late in the day but they still have not arrived. That is not unusual for weather forecasting. But we were out of there by 3:00pm as I tend to avoid the day-end rush. Only ran into three OPP radar traps on the way home but they did not pay attention at 70mph.

Who won what? I do not know. As I mentioned I do not normally even register as my car pales in comparison to many others. So why bother?

But to reiterate, just great to meet and talk with you. Nice to meet a real Corvette person and an NCRS Judge to boot! Enjoyed the day. Thanks!

Paul

It happens every time

Is it not a bi*ch, that we can't be everywhere at once. This is one outing, I really would have liked to attend. However in life, we must sometimes make choices.

Really great looking Corvettes you guys have there.

Paul, say hello to Steve, I recognized his " SEXT 7 " :D

Yes, that's Steve's NCRS 1967 in the above photo. His lovely Wife was there with her 1993 triple-white convertible. A very rare car as most whites came with a red interior.

As you say we can't be everywhere during our so-short summer!

BTW, The Wife insists on matching green chairs?? Does China know 1967 Goodwood Green? They came very close with those Canadian Tire units the Wife bought me. So I'll keep the chairs and...Oops both the car and the Wife. Seriously it was 30 years of marriage in May. And she still struggles around with me to these events even though she doesn't know a 1997 from a 1967. But she loves the people, although she can't speak the language.
