Got 2 questions folks ... need torque specs:
Mine is a 71 L-48 (lo-po 350) with TH400 auto trans ... mine Does Not have u-bolts where u-joints attach to diffential stubs ... mine has 2 caps & 4 cap screws/bolts per side.

What is the torque spec for the u-joint cap screws/bolts at the differential side (Inner stubs)?

What is the torque spec for the cap screws/bolts that hold the outer u-joint flange to the Outer axle stub (flange that has the french locks)?

I'm rebuilding entire front suspension (urethane), part of rear suspension ... stroker-motor's rotating assembly went out for balancing today.
Thanks!

According to the Haynes Manual are the torque specs;

Driveshaft universal joint strap or U-Bolts 15 FT-lbs
Driveaxle universal joint joint strap or u-Bolts 15 FT-lbs
Driveaxle to wheel spindle flange 75-FT-lbs
Driveaxle to differential carrier side gear yokes 15 FT-lbs

Hope this helps
