I posted a question couple of weeks ago about Torq Thrust D wheels fitting a 65 coupe. I appreciate all the input especially from Jerry Bramlet. After talking directly to American Racing I decided to go ahead and order the Torq thrust D. American Racing assured me they would fit and even sent me a e-mail from the engineer who redesigned the moud about a year ago so they would fit mid years. I received the wheels last week and yesterday I received my Goldline tires from Diamondback. The wheels fit perfectly and I couldn't be happier. I'm enclosing 2 pics for everyone to see. Thanks again for all the input.....Bill

A classic wheel on a classic car, looks right. Congrats.

Best regards,
Gerry

Looks great, but the color sure looks like the Nassau Blue on my '65 coupe. But, the two colors are pretty close, anyway.

Beautiful car!!!

Billbonn,

Mind if I ask how much the wheels cost ?

now that's what we're talkin' about! Sweet tires + wheels, totally period correct too . . .

Thank you for the nice replies. Ron Millar, that is Nassau blue. I screwed up on my profile and will change it soon.

BWMurph, the wheel are $155 from Newstalgia. I have a friend who was able to get them a bit cheaper for me. But.....what I wante to point out was that the Torq Thrust D (P/N 105-5661) did infact fit my midyear. I like the looks a bit more than the CL205's and the Torq Thrust D's are cheaper. The tires are Diamondback Goldlines and I think they go good woth the Nassau Blue paint.
