Will the original throttle assembly and cruise unit adapt to the TPI, or will they get chucked? I don't really actually use the cruise, but it does work, so if it isn't any major project, I'd like to keep it working.

The throttle cable is different i removed my old one and installed the 87 trans am one,i only had to bend the pedal inside the car to take out the slack, also the cruise cable is different too,if you need one i have an extra one ill send you for shipping charge only.

I know on my car, when I installed the LT1, the cruise, although it still worked, was very sloppy. What I mean is, if you engage the cruise at say, 70, it would float around the 70 mark, but every time it needed to give a little gas, it took off so quick it would snap your neck! This might have something to do with the shift kit, but I just never use the cruise. Sorry I couldn't offer more of a solution, but if you find a good one, let me know!
