TPI in an 82

I am interested in replacing my CFI in my 82. What is the difference between TPI and MAF? Which one is better? I am not familiar with either one. I know how they work. I just don't know what's involved for converting to one. Could someone tell me exactly what parts I need? What donor cars can I get these parts from? Will they fit or does it require modifying? I need as much detail as possible. Thanks.

Heres a good site to check out about tpi it tells you the differences in them.Any more questions just ask theres a ton of guys on here that are switching now or have switched already.
