TPIS shocks anyone?

I was browsing the TPIS site and came across these for $176. Anyone run these? Bilsteins are roughly $70 a piece? Are these TPIS shocks too good to be true?

Custom Valved super Shocks and Struts


Stock Corvette shocks are very harsh. We have found by revalving the shocks they are much less harsh. Test lap times came down nicely, the car was easier to drive and the ride quality improved dramatically. We have carried this technology over into the Camaro/Firebird and offer a full line of custom shocks.

TPiS Super Shocks are finished in two-part polyurethane paint for durability and appearance. They are filled with high-pressurs nitrogen gas and controlled by full-displacement valving. The piston rod is chromed, polished and sealer with an o-ring instead of a nylon band. Super Shocks have a 1-3/16 piston bore. Super Struts have a 32mm bore.



TPiS Super Shocks and Super Struts come with a Lifetime Warranty.

I've got the Super Shocks all way around; been running them for about a year. So far, I really like them. The car rides MUCh nicer than on the Bilsteins it had, even though the Bilsteins were old and worn. It corners well, it doesn't lean a lot, and did well last time it went to the track. They also have that lifetime warrenty...

If my wife doesn't complain about the ride, then they're OK . Not saying the car is soft or anything, and it does still get skittish over really rough pavement, but it doesn't feel harsh.

Install, btw, was super-easy on my 86.

I like the sound of that. I'm getting something that will at least be pretty high in quality and save money from Bilsteins? You can't beat that!

Well, they've stood up to the abuse I've thrown at them so far, and since I don't think TPIS is planning to go out of business soon it must be a decently made product. (or they'd lose too much on the warrenty).
