Hello everybody,

I'm in the last stages rebuilding and altering my E4ME Q-jet. Now my question is I know how to adjust the carb in drive, AC off, wheels blocked to 0.56v but I want to be as close as prossible before starting the engine.
The manual says to put the ignition on, engine and AC off and adjust the TPS screw to 0.56v but is this correct? Maybe somebody has adjusted the TPS in drive (etc etc) and checked the voltages after that with the ignition on and engine off?
Thanks!

Groeten Peter

Don't worry about pre-setting it. The truth is, it can be way off and you will probably not even notice it, it will work fine.

God bless, Sensei

Peter,
i based mine with engine off/ignition on, while i had the laptop hooked up to get the proper value. Dont forget to set the full throttle value (or confirm it at least) to 4.5v as well... :thumb

for .525V at idle(650RPM) or not running with the key on, and 4.5 Volts at Wide open throttle

I found it tricky to get it to be .525 to say it nicely, but i got close and i think the tolerances are .05 which i got at .56v before my back and hands cramped up. :L To get the value for WOT, mash the pedal on the floor, engine off, ignition on. ;)

And as Sensei said, mine was way off as i had just replaced the TPS without adjusting it, it still worked though it idled a bit weird too. ;)

Make sure it is warmed up/choke off, otherwise the you will get a false reading due to the throttle being held open by the choke.
