Just bought a few used parts from a friend, one being a TPS switch for my 1994. There were no instructions in the box from Eckler's, he said just plug it in....just want to make sure that is OK, or does anyone have instructions? Don't want to take a chance on screwing something up....put in a new K&N, he also gave me the Performance Modified Air Filter Lid for the K&N. He never drove his Vette, but I do, and sometimes do get caught in the rain. Would it be bad to install the air filter lid? My fear is water could get sucked in through the filter since it's open and not protected like the stock set up...

Thanks in advance....

1. Have no idea about the TPS switch.
2. I use a completely open air box lid and the K&N filter on my 92. When I open the hood, you're looking down on the red oiled filter material. I drive it rain or shine. I haven't had any problems with this at all.

When you say TPS switch, do you mean the TPS or a TPS enhancer module? The enhancer module is a harness that goes in between your TPS and the TPS connector that modifies the voltage curve for the fuel injection system.
It gives it more gas at lower throttle settings.
You can put it in-line with the TPS without any danger(other than using more gas).

TPS voltage should be set at .54V at idle and 5.0V at full throttle. Measure your TPS voltage between the center wire and one of the outside wires, I think it is the top one. Find the one that is set at .54V at closed throttle and goes to 5V at WOT with the engine off and the ignition switch on. Replace the TPS and reset it for the same voltages.
If there's nothing wrong with your original TPS, leave it alone.

Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to respond...just installed it!
