Hey All
I bought a 63 roadster a couple of months ago and have started to put together a nice 'bio' of the car. I've got a bunch of old receipts, historical info, pics, and owner history that I've put in sheet protectors and assembled in a 3 ring binder. I know...I know....kind of silly, but I only got to drive the thing for a few weeks before having to put away for the winter....so I'm still obsessing over this dream machine. Here's my problem...I've traced the car back to the 2nd owner who now lives in Cape Coral, Fla....I've talked to the guys son, and he said his dad had owned the car...but the dad didn't respond to my call. I left several messages...nothing. So, I wrote a nice letter to the guy with a few questions, and even included a SASE and $20.00 to 'encourage' him to reply...nothing. Why in the world would anyone be so reluctant to reply? If I could get this guy to answer a couple of questions, I could probably find the original owner of this car. Any ideas or suggestions?
