Traction Control Needs Servicing Reduced Engine Power Warning

I am getting this message and the engine power is being reduced by the onboard system to 1300 rpm. I can't go over 10-15 mph because of the "traction control system needs servicing warning" and the check engine light came on. Anyone know what could be causing this? I'm going to have to take it in obviously but would like to get an idea before hand.

I am still having this issue. From reading around the forums it seems that it is possible I need to replace something called a TAC Module. What kind of damage am I looking at if I take it into the dealer?

Can you pull your diagnostic codes? That will help to know what the problem is.

Went ahead and took into my mechanic this weekend. We'll see what the damage is on Monday.
