I wonder if anyone else has experienced this?
I have an 82 Vette that had the tranny rebuilt about 25,000 miles ago. It has leaked fluid ever since. I pulled it two years ago and replaced the torque converter seal in front, but it still leaks fluid on heavy acceleration. It slings all over the inside of the bellhousing and when I stop, it drips on the exhaust system and smokes quite a bit. Over the winter, it will leave a 3 Ft. diameter puddle on the floor.
I don't really feel like pulling it again unless I stand a good change it will be fixed this time.
Auto tranny+no lift=no fun!
Maybe a front pump gasket?
What do you think?
