Replaced convertor on my 77 th350 last fall and ever since I have had a leak. Need to drop trans again and need to know how hard it is to change the front seal and where I might find the seal. Thanks jw

Replacing the seal is real easy. Getting the trans out, not so easy. the seal goes around the input shaft behind the converter. It is easy to pop out and drive another one in. Good luck

Trans seal

Trans seal is no issue. The trans R&R is the biggest hassle, as mentioned. Easier if you have a seal puller (looks like a claw), same as used on rear axle and wheel bearing seals. Reinstallation no sweat, best to use a "shot-filled" dead-blow type hammer. Clean the area real nice, lube the seal good with disc brake wheel bearing grease.

Replacement TH 350 seals from Summit Racing about $5, good quality. Ensure your torque converter seats properly.
