What is the regular operating temp of the tranny fluid on an A4?

The reason I ask is mine normally runs around 200- 210 after my 28 mile interstate drive home from work w/air temps in the 80s. I just recently drove my dad's 03' with and A4 and the fluid temp on his ran around 180-190.

Hi there,
Either is about normal.
Operational temperatures can be due to axle ratios, fluid used and driving style.
Not to mention debris in the radiator that could cause cooling differences, transmission updates between 2000-2003
You can run up to 250 without any issues.
255 is the factory default for overtemperature transmission fluid.
