Just install the clip in the line, and push the line on the fitting till it snaps securely on to the fitting.:thumb

Hi there,

As a side note, NEVER EVER reuse these clips. They are designed as a one removal use ONLY. And the plastic position assurance sleeve that pops over the top of it MUST be reinstalled in order for the accurate retention of that clip to prevent LEAKS!

These clips (PN 24205103)...are there different sizes of them?

On 10-up Z06/Z07s and ZR1s, a similar part is used to retain the rear axle cooler pipes in the RDU. I tried to buy replacement clips and found them not available. The only way I could buy clips was to purchase a complete fitting.

So...I've been reusing the clips.

If this trans cooler retaining clip is the same size as the rear axle cooler retaining ciip then I could order that.

Anyone know if they're the same size?

Also, regarding installation...I thought you were supposed to install the clip into the fitting, then push the end of the line into fitting until it "snaps".

Hi there,

Yes, install clip, then install the line. Yes, the clip is the same for transmission or differential, at the case and at the actual cooler itself and should be BLUE in color.

The one on the line going into the diff on my car was not blue. It was silver in color and looked a lot like a) the one in the parts drawing for PN 24205103 and b) the clips used to retain door handles, window cranks and door lock knobs on old cars.

Still the same part?
