The transmission has been on the go for a while now, and I expected it to go eventually. Well the day has come. It's dead.

So I decided now is the perfect time to do new gears if there ever was. So I want to go somewhere around 3.23's to 3.54's.

First and foremost I need to find a reputable shop close by. One that someone has used or knows their work and recommends it.

Second I am hoping for recommendations. What people like about the gears they had installed, and what about a new torque converter, or a stall?

And oh yah, I made the move to Missouri, as well did the vette!

Glad to hear the vette made it with you. Hope everything is going good in your new life. Sorry to hear about your tranny .:upthumbs

Thanks Glenn.
The fiancee' and I talked about alot of things before and after we moved. One big topic was the vette. Now that we're here (Missouri) things are different. She's more understanding. And did I mention her father loves Corvettes? So everything worked out, well almost eveything. Now the tranny problem needs to be worked out. In a way it's a good thing the tranny failed. It gives me a reason to get the gears done!

Thanks,
Shane

Shane,

I asked around at my local club last night. If it's an automatic you might try Allen Transmission in Ballwin. If it's a manual no one had anyone specific. One of our club members does work at a shop and said he could do the work if it's an auto but he's in Wentzville which could be a long trip depending on where you live. There's also a place called Just Corvettes. Understand they do pretty good work but you also pay pretty good for the work.

Wish I could be of more help. If you need anything further just drop me a pm.
