Simple question.

Has anyone used trick flow heads, and if so how do you like them?

Tom

Tom,
i have some mud bogger buddies that used them for a while. they performed very similar to Edelbrock RPM heads. one big problem they had was thin castings that had a tendency to crack the chambers. i don't know if Trick Flow has fixed that problem yet or not, i just lost interest in them and have not really looked at them again. if the problems are fixed, then they would make a good head for the price. August 03 issue of Circle Track magazine has ad from company "Performance Heads" phone 1-800-722-4645.
Ad lists several assembled heads w/ prices ... TFS 23* $895/pr ... TFS G2 $995/pr ... AFR (no P/N shown) $1099.99/pr ... etc ... etc. I know nothing about this vendor.

The Trick Flows use the heart shaped fast burn combustion chamber like the Chevy fast burn heads. The Edelbrocks have been changed to the fast burn chamber too. For streetable heads the Air Flow Research (AFR 190) heads match or outflow these and others in all lift ranges (.200 through .700 valve lift) acording to the charts I have seen. Some heads flow real well at certain lifts but fall short at others.
