So I need to find some of the screws that hold the interior bits together, specifically the radio/ac surround trim, but my old screws are apparently lost in the black hole that is my garage and I couldn't find one that fit at the local hardware store... My Helm's manual is loaned out right now otherwise I would look it up, so if anyone could tell me the diameter/thread etc. I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you,
-Craig

I bought a bag of interior screws from vette2vette.com, one of the Corvette recycling places. I think it might have been $2...

Your local Autozone, Advanced Auto or Pep Boys sells packages of screws you need...or if all else fails an Auto Paint Supply store sells them.

Ecklers and others sell a set of screws for the interior. They come in packages labled for their location. Kind of expensive but you do get the right screw for each location.

I quite agree with george t , the screw assortments available from various vette vendors come in real handy . It saves all that chasing about to find the correct fastener when you are in need ,,,,,,

If you go this route, try to get a set that comes with a chart showing where each screw is assigned to.
The set I bought only had packets of screws with abbreviations on them, some abbreviations I couldn't figure out.

I bought the generic "help" screws from NAPA. They fit and look fine, but damn! $4.50 for like 6 or 7 screws, I was kicking my self in the ass the whole time I was paying for them. :)

Here is a great place to get screws, washers, wire, retaining rings, O rings, etc. I purchased a set of stainless steel self taping screws and stainless steel nuts and bolts including divided holders for each size screw and each set cost less than 20 dollars. The screws fit for all the interior applicactions on my "76" and this way you have several sizes availoable. I have found several screws to be stripped out on my car, the latest was the screws that hold the sun visor down, so I just got the next larger dia screw out of the set and it went right in and held the visor down nice and tight, it's almost impossible to tell its a larger screw. Just my two cents.

ebay has em

Just on ebay today and saw a company out of FL that sells EVERY interior screw in a package for 20 bucks! They had every screw imaginable AND had them indexed as to where they go!

They look like they sell these all the time on ebay, so no rush. I was searching under "corvette" in the "parts and accessories"

Good luck!
