On the 94 to 96 dash, do you have to trim the console around the stereo to get it to fit? I saw a 90 that has the newer dash and it was cut, I dont want to cut but this will be the second time in 5 years I have had to have the cd player reworked and Im having a hard time finding a repair shop in Indiana.

I didn't cut the dash in my 96

I put a Pioneer CD/Nav (double DIN) unit in my 96 and I did not have to cut the dash. The unit did require some modification to the mounts behind the console but it looks great from the front. BTW, I had to go to four car audio shops before I found one that would even try to put a new system in a 96 corvette. Good luck! Jim
