trip odometer

Does this reset when the battery is disconnected. Mine seems to only show 80 miles so far. I pretty sure I reset last tiem I filled up the tank. But I did some work on the car and had to disconnect the battery. I had to reset all radio stations and time so was wondering if this applied to the trip odometer and fuel calcs too.;help
