Turbo Shark on eBay - The One We Remember

WOW! I remember building a model of this car when I was like 12 years old! Now here it is on eBay and it's only about 45-60 minutes away from me.

So who else remembers this car? It's in a couple of my old Vette books. Would make a nice unique resto if only I had the elusive green backs.

I remember it! Sweet! It's one of those suck-through kits that basically used a custom manifold on the passenger side, and ran a tube between the two exhaust manifolds, then had an adapter that sat on a normal intake, where it sucked from the carb and blew into the intake - but it all mounted in the normal space. There was one of those kits on Ebay a few years ago.

I remember it too, was that an 80? The Rustang also had a turbo model sometime around then, with a similar paint scheme too! But that was a 4 cylinder turbo (my brother had one for a very short time).

I'll have to watch & see what this one sells for.

It's either an accel turbosonic or a martin kit. Single turbo, low power If they really have 410Hp in that car the original turbo is not on it anymore. Those units couldn't produce over 250 non intercooled ponies at about 4 to 5 psi of pressure MAX.

I remember the car from one of the early episodes of

CHiPs. A woman was driving one and parked it in the alley outside of a gym. The bad guys broke into it and a high speed chase eventually proceeded.
