Was looking at a new c5 Convt. The panel around the tailights was diff shade than the rest of car. Quicksilver type color.
Is this normal. How about other colors. Hadnt noticed it bfore

Maybe they repainted it. It may have been damaged in shipping. There would be a record of this.

Looking at it the next day which was with no sun depending on the angle it would look different or looked the same. A salesman said "silver and pewter" are colors that do not always match.

GM dealers are very strict about reporting if a car was damaged or scratched. It is not worth the trouble of getting caught. If you can live with the color difference then buy it if not then leave it for somenne that can. There are plenty of Corvettes out there to chose from

that's the ticket

If you believe the dealer i have a brand new bridge to sell you. only crossed one time,on foot.honest!:crazy

My family has been in the new car biz for three generations. The only way an established dealer can survive is on their reputation. They are usually more interested in gaining return customers and referrals rather than screwing people for a quick buck. That’s not to say there aren’t some real A-holes out there but there are many rules and laws protecting the consumer.
