u joints

just dropped a brand new 500+ hp 383 stroker motor in my 79 vette. am a little concerned about the u-joints and the drive shaft. i was planning to replace them, is the stock set-up gonna handle it? i also just put a new high performance drag turbo 350 tranny in. can i put a B&M shifter in my vette? and which ones can i use that will fit in my console. saw one in the summit catalogue for a 79 camaro that fit flush in that console.thanks, greg

your driveshaft probably has 1310 joints, I would upgrade to a 1330 or 1350. You'll need a new driveshaft (2,5 or larger) and a new pinion yoke and slip yoke.
