uncapping headers for the track?

I am running true duals, no cats, flowmasters. Do you think uncapping my headers before I run at the track give me any significant HP increase?

25 years-ago, when my Z28 was a 14-second machine, open pipes were worth .1-.15:
now that it runs 12-eighties, they're probably worth as-much, maybe-more, in ET.

..... can't-say if YOUR car will be quicker with open-pipes, but it'll sure-be more-fun!!!!!

I would be concerned about the hot exaust and the fiberglass floor.Although not a problem for your 81.

It is actually my brothers 77 that has the headers. I have been told by some it won't help much because it takes away the back pressure....
