Underfloor insulation

1969 Corvette convertible
I purchase a Tunnel insulation for my 69 Vette after holding it up in
place there is about 8 inches of spave to the edge of the firewall
i have not be able to figure up what goes in the place of the tunnel
insulation and up to where the back of the motor is????
can some one help me with this!!

Do you have the assembly instruction manual (AIM)? There may be a foam collar on the bellhousing like this car:

Mike Thanxs for getting back with me! where can i get one of those A.I.M. books? And that collar does is sit about where the bellhousing meet the trans ( i have a 4 speed trans just trying o return the car to the way is was from the factory! thanxs agin Mike!!!

All the aftermarket Corvette providers carry the AIMs. You can get them in hard copy paper (my personal choice) or get them on CD. AIMs are handy things to have around.

and they sale that book! so thanxs again and i dont know you if you have heard of them but very reasonable prices

I have used them and they are good folks! You can also look at Zip or (my favorite) Keen parts websites and use their online diagrams to help answer your question. I think there should be a space there.
