I'm wondering if at sometime someone undercoated my vette, does anybody have any pics underneath that would show me the texture under there.

Mine seems rather rough.

Thanx
Mart

no pics but, it would look rubbery and or crinkley

Mine happens to be off the ground, so I can get under there. Here's a picture; it looks like it was factory-coated and at some time the undercoating caught a bit of respray.

Thanks alot Rich, I was actually wondering if I should have just asked you this one directly, you always come through.

Yup that's what mine looks like, really crappy eh
Thanx a million

You're quite welcome. If the car hadn't been on stands, I wouldn't have been able to get the shot, but I'm sure someone else would have... it's best to post these questions publicly anyway - there's always another person wondering the same thing!

Hey Rich,

How and where do you put your stands, I'm about to do mine and just wondering?

I saw an article on the ZR1 net site about placement, but it looks wierd.

Any advice would be great.

If you follow the curve of the frame just behind the front wheel well, it flattens out to a wide place with a lip on one side (and I think the floorpan is bolted there). I put the stands just behind the lip. It's hard to get to with my floor jack in place; I usually have to jack the car way up and then lower it back down. I'll see if I can get a pic of that, too...

They're in the way if you're working on the starter or knock sensor, but otherwise everything else is accessible.
