In my 82 CE, there is a circuit board with a relay plugged into and hanging off of the wiring harness in the area that you store the jack. There is a plastic box that is on the vertical part of the storage compartment toward the passenger seat, but it dosn't seem to match up to the board. Does anyone know what it might be for.

I am not sure but I think part of the intermittent wiper system is mounted in that area. I say this with uncertainty because my 80 vette is missing the intermittent system. Do you have intermittent wipers and do they work?

Jim

I think

It's the ECM stuff back there... get a shop manual!

Vig!

I have the Chilton and Haynes manual, they make no mention of anything of the sort. I also have an assenbly manual for the 82 Corvette also no mention of what it is. I will go out and try the intermittant wipers to see if it clicks on and off. Also maybe the alarm??? Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to submit a photo to upload to show what I am talking about.

I ment to down load this pic. Sorry for the confusion.

The plastic "box" in the compartment, if it is the one toward the door is the delay controller for the wipers. The second pic that was posted is the correct one. I need to find one because my delay doesn't work anymore:mad

Thanks a lot everyone. It was the wiper control. I finally got it nested back in the plastic box. I held it in with a zip tie. Is there supposed to be a cover over it also?
