Luigi, they are intersting cars for sure - there is a LPE 550 car around here however, it does not really grab any more attention than any other c5 as it looks bone stock - even from the topside of the engine (although I saw it at night)
Up in MD, there is the silver LPE 427tt w/ the body on it - gets looks for sure:s but to me, it is simply not the same as the Callaway Aerobodies - that car I think ran a 9:90 in the 1/4:eek

that car is around here by me. it is rated at 750 hp. the guy that owns it also owns a hi po shop in annapolis. there was another 427 TT C5 running around that trashed several 6 speeds and put in an auto. the problem with these cars is not the motor or turbo's but the driveline. transmissions driveshafts and half shaft's. there isn't a clutch out there that can handle 800 hp and 900+ lbs of torque that is for a street car. atleast not that i know of. the 6 speed TT C5's got to launch at a dead idle and if they put slicks or DR's on the car consider your rear gone.

the silver one that you mention, Chris, has the tag VPR KLLR on it. if i see it around again i'll try and take some pics of it!

LPE needs to send that car my way... I'll test the "250MPH ESTIMATED TOP SPEED" for them.

I think the whole emmissions thing depends on where you are located, because there are some areas in PA that have NO emmisson requirements or testing.

BTW i'll help with that top speed testing, you can hold the radar gun
