Update on the body work...

well shes coming along, took the doors off, the windows (front & back) out,removed all the interior except the dash,sand blasted the windshield,got the headlite doors in (and working).:W found a few little holes in the windshield frame that need to be repaired and a couple on the bottom of one the doors,overall the frame is in pretty good shape...which was a suprise!, we expected it to be worse than it was!! the nose and the rear bumper will be fitted on last time and then they will be primed and painted with the rest of the vette.the end is finally in sight!!

Sounds good Bill! I'm looking forward to seeing this '81 back on the road. We'll have to get together some time and cruise (I'm in Clifton Park). Hey, you know anything about putting on sidepipes? That's probably going to be my next project in early May!

sure! would love to go crusin sometime,nope never did any side pipes,I'llsee if I can find out!!finish school first!you should be about ready to graduate,yes???

I'll be done with classes in April. I won't be starting work full time until the end of May, so I'll have plenty of time for those side pipes and to do a bunch of hiking up north.

Any timetable when you think your vette will be back on the road?

may 1st is the date I asked my body man for,but It looks more and more like it will be sooner!!if you would like to see it I'll take you up to franks and show it to you. let me know and I'll pm you my phone #,its only about 20 min from rpi..
