Valve Cover Breather!!!

Hello Vetters, Just a quick ?, My 92 LT1 didnt come with a valve cover breather, I have noticed later LT1's,(94-96) have breathers where the oil filler is, I dont know if these were add on's or what ,but is there any added breathing advantages with these, I know K&N, makes one for the LT1,just curious,Thanx..

they are aftermarket.
I'm not sure what size you need but Summit carries push-in style ones for alot cheaper than K&N and some other places.

while on the subject, after you put a breather in, you can also vent your pcv system if your car is not in a pollution controlled area, just put a cap over the vaccuum line hook up and use a 90 degree piece of tubing w/ a hose on the end. Not sure if it adds any power, but it will keep crank case gasses, oil, and blow by from entering your intake, and turning it black and greasy (nasty stuff).
