valve covers

Hi all. I have been looking for the correct tourque for my 1984 valve covers. The crappy repair manual I have dosen't have the specs. for that. Ft pounds or In pounds would be great. Thanks in advance.

don't have the 84 FSM, but the 82 FSM sez 40 INCH-lb. ( NOT ft-lb )
