My heads are off and going to be ported and im also going to install hot cam springs/reatiners.. ( its 113 alu heads )

Now when I try to get the valves off there is a tiny hard plastic ring ontop of the valve itself. Both on the intake and exhaust side.
The intake has got "rubber" kind of seal and the exhaust got "plastic unbrella" kind of seal.
I cant seeme to get this plastic ring off the valve without destroy it :( ?

And will the lt4 hot cam springs fit over the stock seals?

Regards

Don't worry about it you will need to replace those hard seals. Those are the nortorious valve seals that leak and they are supposed to be soft anyway. Good luck.... :Steer

There should be a set of new valve seals in your head gasket set you will need to put on the heads. As for "will they work with the new springs?" They should but you need to be sure you don't have such a high lift on the cam you go into spring bind as this will destroy the seals ( and other things too).
