After looking around for various fiberglass parts for a C3,mostly hoods,I've found that www.vanacorvette.com seems to have some pretty good prices.Anyone familiar with the quality of their products? Do they have a Stinger hood? Thanks:beer

Hey,I need an answer to this ASAP,because I need to know right away whether I should place an order with Vanacor! I was told on the phone that they will build the hoods as soon as they're ordered-I neglected to ask how long that took to do! So if anyone has the answer to that before this Monday,Please let me know.Thanks...Jon

I bought a high rise cowl hood from him at the Carlisle Vette show. He was a helpful guy and the hood is great. Its better looking than the rest of the car. I will buy from them again.

I don't know why, but I cannot find the news story about the murder in the Vanacor family. (The father was killed in November and the son was charged in the murder.)

I can find the following teasers from the story, but the stories appear to have been taken off-line.
Son Booked In Killing Of Des Allemands Businessman Nov 18, 2003
45-caliber handgun was found under the sofa of the younger man's camper at the campground where he lived. Sheriff's spokesman Larry Weidel said Vanacor confessed to the shooting during questioning by detectives (WDSU, LA).

Son booked with killing of businessman Nov 18, 2003
Investigators said the victim apparently was standing next to his truck when the ... 45-cabliber handgun was found under the sofa of the younger Vanacor's camper ... (Times Picayune, LA)

At any rate, I'd suggest checking to see if they are still in business, and whether they continue to remain in business now that dear old Dad is gone. ;)

Like I said somewhere,I talked to I assume was the wife,I guess.THEY ARE IN BUSINESS according to whoever I talked to. :D :beer

The founder and owner of Vanacor's, Brian Vanacor, was killed Nov. 17th. His wife is trying to carry on the business but I would want to see an example of quality in the past 6 weeks before ordering.

How would I accomplish that?:confused Anyone here buy lately? I've been asking questions on every vette forum I think there is!

WOW .......I hadn't heard anything about this...I bought my hood from them in october and everything was fine then.
They are good people to deal with, friendly and very helpful and it was a lady that I dealt with. She even shipped it by a local trucking company that I requsted so it was easier for me to pick up.....
I hope they don't quit ,I would use them again...:cry
