Vent

My C7 Z06 has a vent just behind the door and in front of the rear tire as do all C7 Z06s. What do we do about all the little white "freckles" from little gravel hits? I just masked the passenger side today in preparation for painting the leading edge of the vent with black paint. Anybody got a better idea??
Can anybody tell me where I can get a fairly heavy duty clear plastic to put over this area after repair? I could also use it to cover my door sill plates to keep them from getting scuffed when getting into or out of the car.
Workable ideas please!!

We use XPEL clear film protectant and highly recommend it to all of our Z06 customers.

Due to the Z06's sticky tires and wider quarters, we've seen many Z06s come in with severe stone chips in the paint. The XPEL clear film is a huge help in preventing paint damage to these areas.
