Hey everyone,
I have a non calloway vette, and have seen alot of pictures of the calloways. Man do I drool... Anyway, I have always wondered what the vents in the front of the hood are for. Are they an intake of some sort?
Might be an amateur question, but I have always wondered.
thanks,
Shane

There are hood blisters/scoops that are for the feeding of cold air to cool the intercoolers the cooler the air the better.

No offence, but it's Callaway :)
Common mistake, but i wonder why nobody says Verrari ;)

You have to have a Callaway car to get the hood scoops.

If I installed the Aerobody on my ZR-1 would it then be a Callaway?

I think they only sell to TT owners. It's a functional part and not for show. Just a wild guess...

Just FYI, but if you put an aerobody on a ZR-1, it wouldn't normally include the hood vents. On the B2K cars, they blow air through the intercoolers. The CR-1's (Callaway ZR-1) were naturally aspirated, so those scoops wouldn't serve any purpose.

At best, you might be able to call it a 'half-breed'. What makes a Callaway is the mechanics and technology that goes into the engine, as well as the rest of the car, to give it it's power and performance -- The Aerobody was designed to compliment the overall package. The hood scoops are a functioning/vital part of the B2K package -- they are required for the intercoolers to work properly.

I have seen one ZR1 with the hood scoops on it. I would assume if you ordered a whole Aerobody kit, then you could get the scoops.
