Hi all---I have a few questions for vert owners. 1--Is there a dye you can use to make your top look new again? 2--Is it OK to use the spray water repelent that you use on tents on your top so it repels water better? Also I vacume my top to keep it in shape--is that OK? Thank-you for your input.

RaggTopp

Terry,

I don't know about dye, but I use RaggTopp to care for my roadster's rag top.

Hope this helps....

I have used "RaggTop" with good results. I think you would like it for cleaning and restoring the look.

Thank you fellow vert owners---I'll try Ragg Topp.

Why bother?

I haven't used anything other than washing it with mild soap and water. The worst it sees though is dust and sometimes rain. As far as leaking, most verts I have heard leak at the window seals but not through the top. For long term wear, you can spend a bundle on multiple cleaners and sealers but a new top is only like 400 bones. After 30 years of use spend the 400 bones and get a new top that would otherwise have a burnt element and scratched window.
