Very loose but works

Hi,

British Bob here.

Just wondering, the other day I had a look down at my accelarator peddle and saw that it was a lot lower than my brake pedle and moved from side to side a little.

The car goes like s##t off a shovel when I press it though. How should the peddle be, or is this normal on a 86 C4.

Do I need to pop the hood and make some adjustments????

really, it is normal on all cars for the gas pedal to be much lower than the brake... side to side though? how much is a little? a bit of play is going to be normal, but if it moves too much, you may have a problem
