Drove the car to the gym this morning.
- It drove perfectly normal.

Drove the car home from the gym.
- It drove perfectly normal.

Drove the car to work from the house.
- It drove perfectly normal.

Drove the car to the barbershop after work.
- It drove perfectly normal.

Tried to start the car after I got my hair cut.
- IT WOULDN'T START.

No, when I tried to start it, it just made noises coming from the starter trying to turn- and - from the courtesy lamp relay. It was a loud, busing noise. Then... no sound from the starter at all.

Thinking it may be a short in the courtesy system, I unplugged it. It still didn't start. I turned on the radio- but it had no bass.

I hooked jumper cables up to the car, still it wouldn't start. It just made a clicking noise coming from the starter solenoid.

MY DIAGNOSIS-
BAD CELL IN BATTERY.

I think the car doesn't have enough juice to power the DELCO BOSE amplifiers for the bass. That explians away the lack of bass. The car acts as though it was trying to start, but it just couldn't. These were really small gauge cables.

Sound like the culprit? I haven't bought a battery for it yet. I have owned the car for nine months. I think the battery is from 1998, or thats what the l number on the DELCO battery said- 98xxxx.

I have had dead cells on my old 1978 before. It sucks. Its a pain in the butt when you have all your tools enroute to you (movers!!!) and you are stuck like chuck with a dead battery......AAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

I concur. Lol. Can't jump a shorted battery.

Richard.

Well, whatever you do, make sure you get that bass working again!!! :)

It does sound like a fried battery. I think you're on top of it.
